More Mr. Choi-isms…

.

We had an interesting assignment this week in physics..  We were actually reviewing graphing and slope and all such things but you have to love the way we did it.

Mr. Choi told us to bring a barbie doll to school. We were going to tie rubber bands to it and drop from 2 meters with various numbers of rubber bands attached. Why a barbie doll? we asked. He replied, “Because it’s more realistic!”

Barbie went bungee jumping in my physics class… poor Barbie, she got a concussion.. :(

We got to drop her of the second floor railing the next day :)     ..to see if we could measure the right amount of rubber bands needed to “give Barbie the greatest thrill without killing herself”…

By the way, while encouraging us to ask questions in his class, Mr. Choi shared his insight on American marriage.  “That’s why there are so many divorces in America! They don’t ask questions!!  they ask, ‘what kind of carrr do you drive?’  no.. that doesn’t mean Anything!”   (unfortunately part of what makes it funny is the way he says it.. and you just have to hear it to get it)

Oh, Mr. Choi… you’re quite amusing

Mr Choi seems VERY amusing. I’m glad you’re having a good time in physics. Particularly since you’ll be spending much of the next several years in physics classes.

Yes, dropping rubber band tied Barbies is definitely more realistic… I just don’t know what it is that it’s more realistic than.

Mr. Choi sounds like such an interesting fellow :o ) The Barbie idea sure works for me. Did each of you have your own Barbie to bungie jump
