Reasons John Should Play the Piano

John has said that he is interested in playing an instrument. Actually one way he put it was, “I love to listen to music (wish I could play it)” SO. That means I get to ask him about it!! haha… well whether it means I get to or not, I Did ask him and found out that he’d like to play the piano or the electric guitar. Only very recently (while listening to some piano music I might add) he said he’d like to learn the piano. I immediately started asking him about it, saying that he should and encouraging him to do it. I understand there is the trouble with having a piano to practice on.. they have one that needs to be tuned and restored. It’s ancient.. cool! Obviously that costs a lot of money so I don’t know what to do about that, But I do know he should learn to play the piano. Here are my reasons why:

  1. It’s fun
  2. It’s not good to just sit around and think, “I wish I could do that”
  3. Knowing how to play an instrument makes you more interesting
  4. It could be something that you turn out to be very good at
  5. It makes life more “fulfilling”
  6. I think because he’s known for tech stuff, it would be awesome if he could just surprise everyone with playing piano, it would just add to his awesomeness - Briana

    yeah, that's totally John.. :)

  7. If you decide to play a different instrument, piano gives you a good music background
  8. It’s a good way to express yourself
  9. It may help relieve stress
  10. It impresses people
  11. It’s something fun to do when there’s bad weather
  12. It can make you feel proud of yourself
  13. It’s a more productive use of time than sitting around
  14. Piano is cool - James
  15. He has the time to learn Now, instead of later when he’d probably have a job and other stuff to do
  16. He’d be glad he did
  17. He has the hands for it… big, with long fingers
  18. He enjoys listening to music
  19. It would make me happy
  20. He wants to!

If you have anymore reasons why… I’d love to hear them and add them to the list

  • … because you can accompany people who need you to.

… because out of all of the solo instruments, (in my opinion) it’s one of the most pleasing to listen to and you can be the most creative with it.

…and because it’s one of the easiest instruments to learn (again, in my opinion).

I am SO glad I learned to play the piano when I was young. I hope John decides to learn it!
